Overshot Weaving

Overshot is a weaving technique where you can create patterns of floats (when weft threads go over more than one warp). Normally this would create an unstable fabric, but each pattern thread is secured by alternating background threads. Overall it is a simple and ingenious way of weaving complex designs on a simple loom.
